The honest bit about hosting
Why we don't charge a monthly hosting fee
Most web designers charge £20–40/month to "host" your site for you. In reality, the hosting costs them about £5–10 — the rest is margin. And if you ever want to leave, they hold the keys.
We do it differently. Your domain and hosting sit in your own account. You pay the real price direct — nobody's taking a cut, and you're never stuck.
Starter site
A Starter site lives on Netlify's free tier — no hosting bill, ever. Your only annual cost is the domain name, around £10–16 a year, paid straight to the registrar.
Full site
Full sites run on WordPress, which needs paid hosting. We'll get you set up with your own account — around £16 for the first year on introductory deals, then £8–12/month after that. You pay them directly, not us.
